(2000) Happy Christmas One and All,

We hope this letter finds all of our friends and family in good health and good cheer! Once again the year has sped past. What happened to Y2K?

Well, our greatest (and best) surprise this year was finding out we were pregnant in February. It was funny to find out that God had a very different plan for us! Colleen Elizabeth was born September 28th, and came just 40 minutes after we arrived at the
hospital. She has been a wonderful baby, but it is true what they say about that third child “throwing you for a loop”! Managing the three kids has taken all my time the last few months! She is a very social and talkative little girl, and started sleeping through
the night at 2 months old! (Thank goodness!)

Shannon is five now and started Kindergarten in September. She is learning to read, and making lots of new friends. She has taken ballet, gymnastics, and swim lessons this year, and even tried soccer, but decided she did not like that! She is turning into quite the little artist, and is also a wonderful help with Colleen. She was so relieved to find out the baby was a SISTER!

Steven is 2 ½ now, and has done the most changing this year. He went from toddler to little boy. He is talking up a blue streak (and to think in the springtime I was worried!) and has turned into quite the little wrestler. He and his Daddy have a great time! He also is a huge “Toy Story” fan, with Buzz Lightyear being his idol!

As for Danny and I, we managed to get away for two weekends alone together this year! We flew to Seattle for John Moffitt’s wedding (one of Danny’s closest friends) Memorial Day weekend, and also went on a three day Mexico cruise in July. Danny
bought the cruise tickets as a surprise, before we found out I was pregnant. But I wasn’t the only 6-months pregnant woman on board! Both weekends were most enjoyable, but we couldn’t wait to come home either!

We also took a family vacation to Palm Desert again this year. We went in August, in the 100+ degree heat, and I was 8 months pregnant. Needless to say, I enjoyed the air conditioning in the condo immensely! The kids were little fish all week, and Shannon put her swimming lessons to good use.

Our families are all doing well. My sister Anne and her husband John added Baby Kevin to their family in January. He is the happiest little guy, and has the most beautiful blue eyes. My Dad retired in June after 30+ years at TRW. He is thoroughly enjoying his retirement with sailing and golfing topping the list of activities.

Danny’s sister Laura, husband Eddie, and son Micah (20 months) moved up to Berkeley, CA, at the beginning of 2000. Eddie started a new job with E*Trade, and Laura keeps in shape chasing after Micah! Vincent (21 months), Jimmy (Danny’s brother) and Shelle’s little boy, is doing great. He is walking and talking and is
the happiest little guy. Mom and Dad Thomas have kept very busy at work this year, but Shirley is trying very hard not to let it cut into her golf game, and Dad finds time to keep up with his “garden”! David, (Danny’s other brother), is still living at the
beach and enjoying single life, although he did have fleeting thoughts of marriage this year!

My sister Brenda, also enjoying single life, took a trip to Germany this year and is planning to ring in 2001 in Colorado. She might start rivaling Danny’s travel
itinerary!

As for Telemobile, it was another challenging year for the Thomas Clan. Delays in the Philippine contract have caused many headaches for all. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. They have decided to partner with a public company for future growth and security. Things should be finalized very soon. Even with all the uncertainty, Danny still managed to do his share of traveling. Internationally, he visited Aguascaliente, Mexico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Guam; Fiji; Santiago, Chile; and
Mexico City. Domestic cities included Honolulu, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.

Overall, it has been a wonderful year. Hopefully next year you will all read about our newly remodeled home. Plans are in the works. We have definitely outgrown our 1000 sq. ft. home! Danny and I are leading a CFM group again this year through our church, and have met another great group of people. We also have secured our own piece of cyberspace at www.thomaskids.com. Check it out! I am still a “stay-home” mom, and look to be here even longer with the addition of Colleen to our household. I do feel
very blessed to be able to spend every day watching my babies grow into wonderful little people.

We certainly hope 2001 brings everyone special blessings and much joy. We hope to see you all in the New Year. God bless.

Noreen, Danny, Shannon, Steven, & Colleen
(Shasta & Shadow, too!)
